As we are preparing to go to El Salvador for a few days of ministry, I thought that I would sit down to write a bit about what has been happening here in Guatemala . God has been doing some amazing things here. We just enjoyed having a week with Niagara Celebration Church (NCC), our home church.

For most of these youth it was their first missions trip so they did not know what to expect. They seemed to adapt very quickly. The first day we were in Shaddai Church where they were amazed at how wild the people got for Jesus. They were surprised to see people of all ages dancing and getting excited for Jesus.

We got to do many different things with these youth. One of the highlights was Monday night when we decided to have our own service and minister to the youth. We had planned to pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit to fall on them, but God had His way and He gave us a word for each one of the youth. It was a powerful night and we began to see the fruits of it right away.

On Tuesday night we were in House of Refuge. We took the youth to the bars to invite the men. The girls were inviting the women prostitutes to the breakfast we were to have on Thursday morning. The service was powerful as the Presence of God came in strong. The youth began to pray for the men. These youth may have never laid hands on people before but boldness came over them and they began to pray over the men. Many of the youth were crying as the Power of God was all over them. We did not know how to end the service. I just continued to worship God on my guitar while the street men ate and the rest of the youth joined in.

Most of the youth are talking about how they loved going door to door. We go to people’s houses to tell them about Jesus. Most thought that it wouldn't work and that it was strange. After the first visit it began to be the favourite ministry time for many. It is so much fun talking to people about Jesus.

Some other ministry we did was the Children’s home (Casa Esperanza/House of Hope). We went to two schools for some time of evangelism. We had planned to go to the prison, but there was to possibly be some gang violence so the prison guards would not let us in, which was probably best and for our safety.

As you can see, we had lots of fun with these youth. We hope that they will come again soon. I told them that Guatemala is very addicting and now they know what I meant. Most of them have mentioned that they do want to come back.

On Wednesday we are off to El Salvador . We will be there from Aug 20-25. We will be teaching a prophetic worship/dance seminar with Matt & Kerry Blacklock as well as ministering in a couple of churches. Thank you so much for your prayers & support.
