God has been speaking to me about this year 2010. I believe that this is the year that we will see the Promises of God fulfilled in our lives and ministry. Believe this with us, you will see how God will move in your life this year. Many dreams have been put on the shelf and forgotten, this is the year to pick them up, dust them off and believe God to do big things!

New things have been taking place here in House of Refuge Street Ministries. Over the next couple of months you will be seeing the changes in our newsletters, logos and even a website is in the making. One big change is that we have moved the location of House of Refuge. We are no longer on the noisy busy main street of Chiqumulilla... We moved a few blocks away in to a quieter and nicer place in town.

House of Refuge is now a six bedroom house away from all the distractions. It is in a 'richer' area of town. The men were blown away of how nice their house is. I have felt that the the house no longer feels like a 'ministry', it now feels like a home! We will be painting it soon and getting it ready for our 5th anniversary on Feb. 19, 2010.

Karla & I will also be celebrating 4 years of Marriage on February 4, 2010. On January 27, 2010 I will have been in Guatemala for 8 years. A perfect split, 4 years single and 4 years married.

We have some missionary friends, Leo & Esta Bourque, here from New Brunswick that are helping us build our house. We are getting ready to pour the roof for the additions that we have put onto the side of our house. They have been a great help and blessing to us. They will be with us until March.

Land Update: Unfortunately, the land that we were looking at that seemed so good and we were ready to purchase, just shut the doors. It was devastating for us as everything seemed 'in the bag' and then one day to the next the door was shut and the doctors' association no longer wanted to sell the land. Now we continue the hunt. We do have a few pieces that are nice we just want to choose the best piece. Just today I received a phone call for one that we will go see soon.

Please continue to pray for us we know that God has land for us. We believe it will be soon.
