We believe that Casa Esperanza is successful and is recognized as a role model by the Guatemalan Ministry for Children for a number of reasons. First, we give God the glory through His Son Jesus Christ for His love, guidance and wisdom. Then we give thanks to the many people who pray and continue to pray and intercede for this work, as well as those who physically laboured and sacrificed behind the scenes as “unseen warriors”. We thank Kim and Lynn Weiler who were obedient to God’s ‘call’ to Guatemala to help build a love network of people to fulfill the vision. Casa Esperanza’s foundation manual is God’s Word. Through the Holy Spirit, it is the source that helps us through life, cultural differences, conflicts, daily challenges and difficulties that we face. We stand on His Word and do not compromise His Truth that gives us Light & Life. We are committed to weekly staff prayer times, where we come together to worship, pray and encourage one another. We also believe that there is no head or tail of this ministry, but a round table of devoted Christians who love God and run Casa Esperanza in the best interests of the children. We have strong Guatemalan leadership in place that help direct the operation of the home, including communicating with sponsors and finances the Lord provides. As directors we make it a priority to work through protocols and implement boundaries for the children. Finally we involve the children with regular devotions, youth night and church services. With the love of Jesus, the children’s lives are transformed. We are successful, because God is in control and Jesus is the center of this home. As long as we fix our eyes on Him, and have a heart to be the servant of all, we will be great…for the glory of God. Amen
