Yesterday we had a court hearing for our little Michelle. Her mother was requesting custody of her. Michelle is four years old and has been here with us for one year. She came here with her aunt and her little cousin. She was in terrible shape when she arrived, and has settled in here very well and has experienced alot of healing in her little life. She used to stare into space and weep for periods of time, we would hold her and pray for her, and after a while she would snap out of it. She seldom has these times now. We are so happy that the judge ruled in our favor, as the mother is very unstable and is not able to care for Mishelle at this time. Praise the Lord.

Our little Pablo is doing well. We were able to visit him, when we went to court with Mishelle. The aunt and uncle are prepared to keep him, as long as the grandma stays away and does not cause anymore problems. He seems happy, and he is growing like a weed. God is Good... continue to pray for Pablo,s protection and well being...

Last week four of our casa kids, Steve, myself and our translator and big brother Anthony, went to the city to speak and share at a Casa Esperanza fundraiser and informational breakfast. The vision of this meeting was to share about the importance of partnering together for our children of Guatemala. It was focused on the business men and women of Guatemala, and sharing the vision with them, and asking for them to get involved. It was a great turn out, and we recieved a great response. Our four children shared how Casa Esperana has changed their lives, and how they have a future and a hope in the Lord. We shared our vision and heart for these children. It was a great time and blessing.

Blessings from

Steven & Patricia, Justin, Jelissa, Jenea & Jesse.
