Casa Update - Jan. 2010
Things are going well here, and we are all getting ready for school
this coming Monday. Joshua's Generation school is becoming an
international school with more missionaries registering their children
there. My son Jesse attends full time, My brothers three children are
attending full time for three months, and Matt and Kerry Blacklock are
sending their three children for 2 days a week to help them with their
Spanish. So our Casa kids will be improving their English skills as
they have more and more reason to speak English.
The court hearing for Dania and Wilder went well, and the judge
decided that it is best for the children to stay here with us until the
mother can provide some sort of a stable home and life for the
children. She currently moves around a lot and has no permanent home or
job.
Estefania will be attending college this year and expanding her skills
in accounting. This school has some good christian teachers that we
know, and they will be able to keep us informed of anything we should
be aware of concerning Estefania, as she will be attending on her own.
Alicia has returned to us, as things were not as she had expected with
her family. We have hired her full time at feviva in the kitchen and we
are working on her future goals and plans.
We have two of our little ones starting school this year. Eliseo and
Yoanna will both be attending Kinder, and Paola will also be returning
to school and she will be in 1st grade. Please pray for our little ones
to settle in well, and that the school experience will be a positive
one for them.
We visited little Pablo last week when we went to Jutiapa for the
court hearing. He seems to be doing well. It was great to see him and
play with him and enjoy his great big smile. His Aunt says that he has
been healthy and he is a very active little boy. Praise the Lord for
his provision and loving care. The grandmother is no longer involved
and things are going well.
Thank you again for your continued prayers and support for our big family here in Guatemala.
Blessings from
Steven & Patricia Peters & Family
